Junior 1: Mr Jennings
Welcome to Junior 1! I am Mr Jennings, the class teacher, and I am supported by Miss Mand and Miss Fischer. Together, we aim to create a warm, caring and happy classroom where children feel valued, confident and excited to come to school each day. We work hard to build an ethos of loving school, encouraging curiosity, kindness, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
Each morning, we focus on our core subjects, while our afternoons are dedicated to foundation subjects led by Mr McCabe. The children will also enjoy PE every Friday with Mr Jennings.
At home, children will have a reading book and a weekly spelling list, and we encourage them to read every night and practise their spellings regularly. Each Friday, the children will also receive a Maths and English homework task, which should be completed and returned by the following Wednesday.

We are so excited for a fantastic year of learning in Junior 1, filled with new experiences, wonderful achievements and, most importantly, lots of laughs along the way!
